Never watched Touch, although I have heard good stuff about it. I have seen Cross Game, which I liked despite the fact the first episode made me bawl like a baby. Definitely one for the anime that made me cry list. The art for this on AniDB definitely has a Cross Game feel to it, with the large eyes slightly below the center so the forehead is huge and the very pronounced round ears, I wonder if it is so they look better in a baseball cap. Like Cross Game and Touch it is a work by Mitsuru Adachi , so I will give it a look.

Touch was way too long for its own good, and Adachi shouldn't try to lighten up **_everything_** with humor.

All anime based on Adachi's works is great, from Nine to Cross Game. I especially like the tendency of using Serizawa Hiroaki as a composer, I really like his music. Also, most Adachi anime is directed by Sugi'i Gisaburou and he was one amazing director.. I love Touch, but 101 episodes is just too long for me, too, I used to watch One Piece and Conan and other long series, but I don't have such passion for anime anymore, so I mostly watch shorter series nowadays. I prefer manga because it takes less time to read than watch. Anyways, the combination of great music, great direction and of course Adachi's masterfully wowen stories is the winner combination that makes most of Adachi series so unforgettable and classic.Adachi is one of the true masters of manga in my books, along Araki, Urasawa, Umezu and Miuchi (the mangaka of Garasu no Kamen) and some others. I really hope this adaptation of Mix will carry on the legend of great Adachi anime.
