Orphan presents a new version of the sixth and last of the 1993 Margaret OVA series, Oedo wa Nemurenai! (Edo Never Sleeps!). VHS source; based on a five-volume manga by Honda Keiko.

Like the others in the Margaret video series, Oedo wa Nemurenai! is shoujo, but it’s not routine shoujo by any means. It’s set in historical times, contains supernatural elements, and features a young courtesan as its heroine. For more information, see this blog entry.

The original version was captured from compressed output on a D-VHS deck. This version was captured uncompressed using a vintage All-in-Wonder card. Uncompressed capture allows for better software-based post-processing. This version has many fewer blended frames.
