You should use lower CRF, it looks kinda bit-starved. Also, why such a weird resolution in some movies? 1912x1052? 1912x1050?

Why crop the black bars, though? Can’t believe it saves that much size-wise.

EDIT: Now that I’ve downloaded and watched it, it looks like the entire frame shakes ever so slightly? Is that from the cutting or was the original like that as well?

You compressed these movies too much, the bitrate is not enough, compression artifacts are clearly visible.
