Since then, smaller spacequakes plague the world on a irregular basis. Shidou Itsuka, a seemingly ordinary high schooler comes across a mysterious girl at the ground zero of a spacequake and learns from his sister Kotori she is one of the "Spirits" who are the real cause of the spacequakes that occur when they manifest themselves in the world. He also learns that Kotori is the captain of the airship Ratatoskr and recruits him to make use of his mysterious ability to seal the Spirits' powers and stop them from being a threat to mankind. However, there is a catch: to seal a Spirit, he must make her fall in love with him. | Release Notes: **WARNING: Rant Incoming** Beatrice-Raws+Judas. Judas was absolutely terrible to work from, I don't know who was at fault for the following issues, but it was damn annoying. Their default font style was awful and I replaced it with Gandhi Sans in every episode. They had fonts missing from pretty much every single episode, which I had to search and download myself (I believe one of the episodes was missing over 5 fonts). They even had FFF's subtitles in the attachments?? One of the signs was using a font that didn't even support one of the characters, a **!**. In episode 12 they were even missing their 'Alternate' style which I had to add. My only solace was that I didn't have to retime the subtitles. All in all, it was a complete mess and I hope to never have to use their subs again. My Rating: 6.5/10 (Alright). # **YOSHINO IS THE ONE WAIFU TO RULE THEM ALL** ![](https://media1.tenor.com/images/cfee6bb543427ab79202ff05ba7d0765/tenor.gif) - - - If there are any issues with the release or points for improvement, post it in the comments. @Simplistic Takes one to know one, huh? ![memecoder](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/536665451577606154/848856160148127754/unknown.png)
But why use Judas at all when other releases like tohka that also use & edited SallySubs exist?
@Simplistic *How to make minis* 1. download top release (use the biggest one possible for better results) 2. encode it to ~8mb using hanbrake 8bit basic profile 3. upload to r/ap 4. get banned 5. shit on good releases
I hope your improved Date A Live batch includes tohka's subs as an option or improved version of them. Cheers.
@Yukino I won't have tohka's subs as an option because I am basing my batch on Astral's subs which are restyled (SallySubs, FFF and GSK_kun respectively) for each installment in the series. I am manually checking each episodes subs and correcting them, before a second QC through each episode. So without making dramatic phrasing changes, they should fix up the errors in each groups scripts. But I am still on Season 1 atm as I haven't had much time to work on it.
Lol that Simplstc bitch got ruined LMAOOOOO Laughing so hard rn what a little shit HAHAHAHAHAHA Fuckin got buried LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLL
I put more effort into my re-encodes than you might otherwise think lol. > Takes one to know one, huh? If you take a look at all the shows released on this account, it will take you less than a femtosecond to realize every release I've made is better than the smallest one, otherwise available.

Handbrake is literally just a GUI for FFmpeg, the only difference is that it doesn't accept avisynth/vapoursynth filters and other mods. It's all the same x265 otherwise. "Handbrake settings" could be easily changed to "x265 settings".

@Simplistic and Handbrake accepts command-line style overrides, it's literally a box called "Advanced Options" - you can put anything in there that is accepted by the x265 encoder and it will override Handbrakes GUI settings. It's pretty much the master control box. Shitty weeblords get really mad if you use a GUI to encode anything, even if you get better results than other lazy HEVC releases. It's pretty funny to watch them rage. They stake their egos on being nerds, which is why they pick over meaningless details like that. Part of the reason they pick over stuff like that is because a lot of them ONLY watch stuff on PC with ridiculous playback toolchains and hilariously over-priced monitors (I'm saying this as someone with a fine-tuned MPV install and a $2,000 monitor, but I rarely watch anime on here), and they think every release has to be "long-term archive quality" (so huge file sizes and slow to adopt HEVC or to use it to its full potential - I laugh at the number of nearly gigabyte per episode releases out there). They can't/won't accept that the vast majority of people want to watch on large flat-screen TV's from a comfortable recliner in their living room/theater room while saving hard drive space, or on simpler PC/laptop setups with consumer-grade screens and easy-to-use playback software. So much of their obsessive fine-tuning command-line and filter work is completely lost on those or on a large TV being viewed from an average distance, especially on a 4k screen using a TV's built-in hardware upscaler. People like you exist for normal people who just want to watch anime while saving space on their NAS's or external drives, and that's perfectly acceptable and even desirable. What really matters is having good subtitle work - bad subtitles are what ruin the experience for the vast majority of anime viewers. And subtitles are something that Judas is traditionally terrible with. So you are right to criticize them.

>Shitty weeblords get really mad if you use a GUI to encode anything, **even if you get better results than other lazy HEVC releases.** ***Preach.*** >People like you exist for normal people who just want to watch anime while saving space on their NAS’s or external drives, and that’s perfectly acceptable and even desirable. Glad to see that there's someone who can understand where I'm coming from. Larger releases obviously have their place for serious archival, but I'm just trying to achieve better than web-rip quality. While for the most part, making sure any issues that do exist aren't all that noticeable during realistic playback. Something that you can't always have at Judas (and others) level file sizes. Which also have a fair reason to exist for the people who want/need something even smaller than what I'm providing. Can't say I'd recommend it, though.
any update on the new improved release u told u were going to upload?
Episode 11 has the wrong font size. All the subs take up half the screen, had to switch to default style.
