Orphan presents a 720p version of the 1957 Toei Douga short Koneko no Rakugaki (The Kitten’s Doodles). This “silent” (music and signs only) black-and-white cartoon tells the story of an artistically-inclined kitten (named Miko, apparently) who doodles on the wall of Grandpa Bear’s house, to the intense disapproval of the owner. Later, the doodles come to life, and the kitten engages in a slapstick chase on trains and automobiles (no planes) with two mice sidekicks/antagonists. For more information, see this blog entry.
