Can't thank you enough for the proper encodes. They are always great. Common sense says, If hevc/h10 was so great, it would be the standard in the entertainment industry. But it's not and never ever will be. Because AVC8 can do anything the other codecs do. It's designed to be compatible and versatile. Watching Anime on an 85 inch screen for almost 2 years. You notice differences really easy. The only thing HEVC can do that AVC8 cant. Is take 4 times longer to encode. There is occasional differences when the source is a massive 4k and you want to make it smaller, but keep the HDR quality. That's when hevc comes in handy. It'll save space but not as much as it can on default settings. By default hevc is set to denoise files, which degrades quality. To quote another "This is exactly why no reputable encode group encodes with HEVC." funi introduced h10 then hevc to control offline sharing. And for all intensive purposes they succeeded.
