Orphan presents the first softsubbed version of the 2007 TV Special Haruka Naru Toki no Naka de 3: Kurenai no Tsuki (In a Distant Time 3: Crimson Moon). Based on an otome game by Ruby Party, this is another outing in which a modern high-school girl is whisked off to Heian times as a mystical Priestess, where she is supported by eight handsome retainers, the Hachiyou. Unlike previous iterations of the franchise, Haruka Naru Toki 3 is grounded in an actual historical event, the Ginpei war between the Genji and the Heike. See this blog entry for more details.

In addition to the main show, this release includes the Onsen chibi special, the non-credit OP and ED, and various promotions and extras, which have not been translated. The original subs are by Otakaru Island (Oi!); the subs from the special are from EPIC.
