true but this story deviates from the actual story mate... which isn't bad I think it's okay to use a historical background and twist it into a creative story..... I found a book in my grandparent's basement (they own several thousand) titled "the legend of king canute" I believe. Title in nice gold embossing.... Currently I own that book in storage and have meant to read it along with a few other books on histories and legends of (my) people but life got ahead of me at the moment... I'll leave you with this tidbit. Did you know Iranian legend pre-dating historical Britain already had legends that were the basis for "the holy grail" among other legends? The Scythians and Sarmatians carried these legends along the steppe of the Black Sea and it became intertwined with Slavic culture before it ever became the legend of King Arthur in the west. Look into it if you're interested.
