Standalone subs have touchups that are newer than the version in the .mkv, and which won't be released muxed until the batch at the end of the season. Download them and drag them into your video player (which should be mpv, by the way) if you want the most up-to-date subtitles with the most complete typesetting.

@Unneverseen Can you tell a difference in the slow.pics comparison I linked? I honestly can't. I asked people who know/do encoding stuff though and they said it's not well-done, and I trust them. I'll probably just stick with AVC for now (unless anyone starts providing something better) but I assume eventually there will be a good HEVC encode of the BDs at least.
@xOmnium Yep, this is present in every release and just part of how the show is animated. The slight "camera" jiggle is seemingly trying to replicate the wobble/tremble seen in older works [animated traditionally using cel animation](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMwNilk-YyE). The grain is added too. Interesting choice for sure. Apparently Manabu Okamoto (the director) also did this in his previous work, Mushoku Tensei.
@RinzImpulse Yep, it's coming. Episode 3 is hell to typeset (working on it literally right now), and the number of livestream comments (we're translating _everything_) is making translation take extra long too (which also got started late because JP subs weren't released until a day later). It should be ready to release this weekend!
