#### Note: I recommend getting [MTBB's](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1838914) release instead. It has a superior Blu-Ray encode and uses my subtitles. --- **Video:** Own encode. Merge of Crunchyroll, Amazon, and Netflix sources, denoise, dehalo, deband, grain. **Audio:** JPN: Amazon EAC3 @ 224kb/s --- ENG: Funimation AAC @ 256kb/s **Subtitles:** DameDesuYo with [significant changes](https://i.imgur.com/dXzpzkH.jpeg), and Crunchyroll subs with DDY typesetting and songs. Chapters taken from DDY and modified. [**Mediainfo**](https://pastebin.com/raw/ijdiGgQx) [**Video Comparison**](https://slow.pics/c/WMWl7WPQ) (SPOILERS) DDY is cleaner but is tinted and kills more detail, plus more destructive dehalo in some scenes (comp 21) --- v2 notes (sub changes from DDY): Fixed a few issues with TS (credits mask) and [typos](https://files.catbox.moe/uijfby.png) (SPOILERS) v3 notes: Added dub and signs track, tweaked chapters v4 notes: Improved encode, fixed pixelated beast titan using footage from special 2

This isn't episode 88. Episode 88 is part of the episodic versions of the final chapters. This is called the final chapters because it's only the manga ending, wink wink,

@Headlights I followed numbering for TVDB. The extra title and episode numbers at the end are just for SEO, they don't have to mean anything.
Really, the way they handled the episode numbering for this show made things needlessly confusing. Like, does this series come out to a total of 89 episodes? 92? 94? Yes. The answer to all of those is yes. (89 if you count the two specials as one ep each, 92 if you count each "chapter" in those two specials as its own episode, 94 if you go by the actual episodic version with its own OPEDs and previews and such.) I guess at the end of the day, content-wise it's essentially 94 episodes. Still, it seems pretty clear to me that the specials themselves were what took priority and what they assumed most people would be seeing. The fact that they have their own "Chapter" breaks that don't cleanly line up with the episode stopping points (but DO cleanly line up with chapters of the manga, as well as just being effective cliffhangers in their own regard) has me feeling that the episodic edit was probably an afterthought.
They are called "The final chapters" for a reason. It's the manga ending, chapters were never mentioned before in the anime. Peak fiction will come at some point. "Deprived of his horizon, Eren yearns for freedom"
