The talk of the town this week has been Raimusu / ライムス whose name is actually just Slime from Dragon Quest rearranged (スライム / Suraimu). The official subtitles decided to render this as “Rymus”, which makes about as much sense as calling Cell “Cer” instead. The most ‘correct’ approach here would be to call him Limes, since it’s taking the S from Slime and moving it to the end of the word, just as the Japanese does. This naturally creates an issue as “Limes” conjures up the idea of a fruit and obfuscates both meaning and pronunciation. Instead, we’ve opted for Limus - a hybrid approach of meaning and pronunciation. Please look forward to the next Limus Temch Tip video.
As far as the video quality goes, Disney+ has become available again, but alas it is now a week behind the currently airing episode. We’re gathering it in the background and will use it for the WEB batch in the interim between the show finishing and the Blu-rays releasing.

I get why people still call them FUNimation, but officially they’re Crunchyroll now.
Thanks for another episode. :)

They are, and we’re aware, but the terminology in question came from the era in which they were called Funimation. It’s known colloquially as the “Funimation dub” in the same way the Canadian cast is called the “Ocean dub” despite still coming from Funimation. That’s why it’s listed separately from the new content… though that originates from subtitles done within Toei, so calling those CrunchyRoll probably wouldn’t be accurate either despite the new dub using them too.
