For Christmas, Orphan presents a Christmas shoujo OVA that is neither a Christmas story nor a typical shoujo: the 1991 OVA Ichigatsu ni wa Christmas (A Christmas in January). College student and part-time shoe salesman Fujioka Junso meets apparent schoolgirl Tatento Mizuki, and the sparks fly, but not romantic ones, more like flint on flint:

These two damaged souls have multiple encounters over the Christmas season, growing stronger if not closer.
