Orphan is proud to present the first English-subtitled version of the 1989-90 anthology series Sakyou Komatsu’s Animation Theater. This collection of short episodes is based on the works of Sakyou Komatsu, a Japanese sci-fi writer best known for Japan Sinks and Sayonara Jupiter. The skits have no through plot or set theme; they range from sci-fi to social satire to (very mild) erotica. If these episodes seem to reflect a skepticism about mankind and its technology, that’s probably just my interpretation.
