Release for Josee, the Tiger and the Fish (2020) using the video from [Kawaiika-Raws](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1433419) and the updated subtitles (2023-03-14) from [MaxEffort](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1648688).
While the French BD (used in MaxEffort’s release) has a higher bitrate, I personally prefer the release by Kawaika-Raws, which vastly reduces the aliasing found in the raw video. This obviously comes at the cost of other artifacts, so please decide for yourself if you prefer the higher bitrate French BD (then get MaxEffort’s release) or less aliasing (then get this release). The [comparison by SeaDex](https://slow.pics/c/t26bx6cJ) might be helpful.
As Kawaiika-Raws’ release is cropped to 1920×804 while the subtitles are made for letterboxed 1920×1080, I resampled the subtitles. Additionally, there appears to be a one-frame timing difference between both video sources from around 50 minutes, which leads to the subtitles having subtle timing errors from that point on. This issue was fixed by adding a -1 frame delay from that point and all signs now match frame-perfectly. I did not check all dialogue lines, as this is a release with ... mid effort. However, I noticed and fixed a minor timing error for the sign at 00:32:38.081, which appeared twice in that frame.
