This is filtered for some reason, and there is barely any detail left, avoid if possible.

So, yeah, there is 0 grain and it does look too artificial, but its very watchable and some people might prefer it. Id advise to see another version and decide for yourself

So, I´ve downloaded several releases on Nyaa and other sites, ranging from 1.8GB to 90GB, and this is my honest opinion: The Bonkai77 version is by far the most watchable for todays standards, even tho its not the original quality. Most of the others were either very grainy or had 0 sharpness, lots of blur, just bad. The best one I could find under 20GB, that wasnt oversharpnened or changed as much as this one, was a 6GB version on piratebay. That one was mostly OK, looked to me like a decent DVD-rip.The 1.8GB one was garbage, maybe for phones. This bonkai release is really good despite the drastic visual overhaul. Maybe think of it as the dragon ball kai thing, but maybe 20% more I advise the 21.7GB version here on Nyaa, as its the perfect merge of quality and filmic grain and is just the way it is supposed to be, but it has a differemt eng dub. I dont like the new dub one bit. But you can download both and use mkvtoolnix to edit and add audio tracks to the release you like better. Seems the time/lengths are the same with bonkai and the 21.7GB. I seemed to me like the 6GB version, but with much much more detail, thus quality. The 89.7GB version here on nyaa is so good....but....has like 0 difference to my eyes to the 21.7GB, honestly (maybe the FLAC is better idk) It 100% doesnt justify the extra like 60GB for this show I have downloaded several other and then just deleted it cause they were total garbage. So I´ve kept these three I´d rank them like this: 1 - https://nyaa.iss.one/view/978042 - best overall - size, quality, keeps original looks closest - BUT - has different voice cast for the English dub!!! Keep in mind 2 - https://nyaa.iss.one/view/948365 - Bonkai77 (smallest size, modern visuals +-) 3 - https://nyaa.iss.one/view/885188 - probs best, but too big Guys, its just my opinion so dont flip out Cheers, hope it helps you to decide

@excaliburzone The video material used for this comes from Moozzi2. It has merely been downsampled with even more effective encoding. (Filtering video streams is an art that except from Moozzi2 is mastered in sorry NAOKI Raws and iAHD).

@excaliburzone Thank you for going through the trouble of comparing the different releases and presenting a summary for the benefit of others, you're saving a lot of people a lot of investigation / extraneous downloads. ^_^.

@excaliburzone I've only just seen your kind comments on my encode - but you're wrong about one thing: I have included both dubs in full. The reason you may miss this is that, unlike bonkai77 (or the 89.7GB version), I have made separate files for the new DC episodes and the original TV episodes - the TV have the original dub and the DC have the new dub (made largely because the actors for the old dub were no longer available for the extra sections). Unchanged episodes have both dubs, so you can choose which version to use throughout. (Bonkai77's video, like the 89.7GB version, is of the DC versions throughout; they have filled the gaps in the old dub at the added sections by using the new dub at those points.)
